Reflections on knowledge in Transmodernity

Abstract

These reflections are configured with the intention of adding to the understanding of transmodernity, a paradigm configured by globalization and virtuality. From there, make some distinctions about knowledge in its ontological, epistemological aspects. The theoretical support comes from the hand of Rosa Maria Magda (2017) and Byung-Chul Han (2014), contemporary philosophers dedicated to thinking about the spirit of the times that are marked by virtuality and globalization, where the birth of a reality that needs to be understood. Hence, the interest in the nature of reality and how knowledge is generated. Among the final reflections, the suggestion as an alternative for research in our context stands out, I suggest critically investigating what it implies, immersing yourself in doing science oriented to criticism, with emancipatory cognitive interest from limitations, dependencies and ideologies outside the collective interests. In addition, a scientific, methodical, transdisciplinary, pragmatic, co-constructed, alternative action is required that represents effectiveness in the dynamics of the built world, our collective, tangible and/or virtual action.
