Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the implications of mental health today. The PRISMA 2020 methodology for systematic reviews was employed. The search was conducted using specific filters, including articles published between 2023 and 2026 in the Scopus and scielo databases. Articles in English were also considered. The search yielded 498 articles, which were initially analyzed, and then 15 articles from Scopus and 5 from scielo were selected for final analysis. The results show that mental health is a complex phenomenon, influenced by risk factors associated with contexts of vulnerability and social change. Protective factors are related to education, empathy, and practices such as physical activity and music therapy, which promote emotional well-being. Care strategies are oriented toward comprehensive approaches that combine biomedical interventions, psychological support, and institutional improvements. Finally, current trends link well-being to daily habits and academic demands, promoting preventive and contextual approaches
