Abstract

Use of digital resources in recent decades makes it possible for students to access a large amount of information from basic education, but this does not guarantee its optimal use for the training process at university. The objective of this study is to listen to the voices of university teachers about their perception of students in relation to the management of their learning and to understand their reflections on the challenges they assume as teachers to guide them in the implementation of their Personal Learning Environments (PLE). It is a qualitative study, in which four teachers who are experts in PLE, five teachers participating in a training course on the subject and three students in their last cycle of studies have participated. The techniques used were interviews and documentary analysis that, when approaching their experiences, allowed us to appreciate that teachers perceive students who are unaware of the benefits of PLE, use technological resources in a fragmentary way and require guidance to start implementing their PLE. They express that teachers must update themselves to be the engines that drive this process towards autonomous and self-regulated learning of students.
