Our world of life: Phenomenology of a pandemic the pandemic and the vulnerability of migrants

Main Article Content

Abstract

This article reflects on the current situation in our world of life, that is, the pandemic. The common thread is the vulnerability of the migrants who have arrived in Colombia —a strange soil— and must face the current health crisis caused by COVID-19. The attention is on those Venezuelan migrants who claim with their faces to be heard by others, at the same time on those who depend on or seek the humanity of others; consequently, those who are denied in their being and their work. The description that is made of them is guided by the methodological principles of phenomenology. The latter is not an orientation to moralization or political judgment, rather the analyzes presented are aimed at discovering the essential structures of the occult under what is seen as natural or understood.
