Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence in scientific research is a topic that has occupied the academic community, due to the evolution of technology and the penetration that this element has in activities that until now were exclusive to the capacities and abilities of human beings, which has generated discussion among several authors pointing out aspects that surround the implementation of its use.  giving rise to a debate on its ethical relevance. Therefore, the objective of this study was to investigate the challenges and considerations that arise from this reality, typical of the technological evolution of contemporary society. The use of systematic review by the PRISMA method was implemented, with a search limited to the Scopus database. The Boleanian operators AND and OR were used. The total number of articles obtained at the beginning was 243 of which 24 articles were selected, these being from the United States, England, Wales, Jordan, Greece, Palestine, Slovenia, Portugal and Finland. It was concluded that the use of AI in scientific research is beneficial with strict attention to limits and ethical virtues that it entails. This approach is a step in the implementation and acceptance of AI in future work in this field
