Resumen
Este estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar los factores asociados a la aceptación y rechazo de la oferta de trasplante renal. Se realizó un estudio observacional analítico de cohortes retrospectivo con 320 pacientes en lista de espera. Se recopilaron variables demográficas, clínicas, relacionadas con la oferta de trasplante y psicosociales. El 46.9% aceptó la oferta y el 53.1% la rechazó. Los pacientes que aceptaron tenían menor edad del donante, menor tiempo de isquemia fría y menor disparidad étnica (p<0.05). También reportaron menores niveles de ansiedad y depresión, y mayor apoyo social (p<0.05). Se concluye que factores relacionados con la calidad del órgano y aspectos psicosociales influyen significativamente en la decisión. Se recomienda mejorar la educación al paciente, brindar apoyo psicológico y optimizar los criterios de asignación de órganos para aumentar las tasas de aceptación
