Resumen
Este estudio profundiza en la calidad de la democracia al explorar sus dimensiones esenciales. A través de un análisis teórico, se desglosan los componentes críticos e indicadores pertinentes. Se emplean herramientas empíricas del proyecto V-DEM (Variedades de la Democracia) para respaldar estas descripciones y evaluar su capacidad para discernir entre diversas calidades democráticas. Utilizando la prueba Kruskal-Wallis, se investiga la presencia de diferencias significativas entre grupos democráticos. Se concluye resaltando la relevancia de los instrumentos de V-DEM para un análisis empírico exhaustivo de las democracias a nivel global
