Emotional intelligence, a component of the thinking style of science teachers’ health

Abstract

The objective of this argumentative essay is to understand the experiences of health sciences teachers on emotional intelligence as a component of the thinking style, for which it is based on the reality of teachers who work in this context. Due to its methodological orientation, a qualitative study is followed within a descriptive study, based on bibliographic argumentation. The information collected will be sized in each of the emerging elements that would identify emotional intelligence as a two-dimensional construct that creates an innate personal aspect that is developed and strengthened through social interaction, which would be part of the thinking style that mediates. Through its affective nature, its emotional control, its abilities to establish social relationships and its empathy with elements that permeate the way of understanding reality, of interacting with it, of interpreting it, it is therefore more preeminent as a foundation. of thinking style and learning strategies in the academic context because it determines the emotionality of both the teacher and the learner, conditioning their academic interaction
