Indefensión aprendida y deseabilidad social en educación: Revisión sistemática de instrumentos psicométricos

Resumen

La indefensión aprendida constituye un constructo relevante para comprender la desmotivación, la evitación académica y la percepción de falta de control en estudiantes expuestos a experiencias reiteradas de fracaso o baja eficacia escolar. Sin embargo, su medición en contextos educativos presenta desafíos metodológicos asociados a la diversidad de instrumentos disponibles y a la posible influencia del sesgo de deseabilidad social en los autoinformes. El objetivo de este artículo fue analizar las propiedades psicométricas y las estrategias de control del sesgo de deseabilidad social reportadas en los instrumentos que miden indefensión aprendida en contextos educativos. Se desarrolló un artículo de revisión sistemática orientado a identificar, seleccionar y analizar estudios empíricos que emplearon escalas, cuestionarios, inventarios o medidas conductuales aplicadas a poblaciones estudiantiles. El análisis se centró en las características de los instrumentos, sus evidencias de confiabilidad y validez, así como en los procedimientos utilizados para controlar sesgos de respuesta. Los resultados muestran que la mayoría de estudios emplean instrumentos de autoinforme con propiedades psicométricas aceptables, especialmente en términos de consistencia interna, análisis factorial y adaptación cultural. No obstante, el control específico de la deseabilidad social fue limitado, predominando estrategias procedimentales como anonimato, consentimiento informado y participación voluntaria. Solo algunos estudios incorporaron reportes docentes, tareas conductuales, diseños temporales o pruebas de sesgo de método común. Se concluye que la medición de la indefensión aprendida en educación requiere fortalecer la validación psicométrica integral y adoptar enfoques multimétodo que reduzcan la dependencia exclusiva del autoinforme, mejorando así la precisión, validez y utilidad aplicada de estos instrumentos.
